How's this for a test?

Welcome to "I'll be the Judge!". Check back in the future for MMA related articles, covering things such as judging in MMA, some news, as well as my views and opinions on the sport. Just testing to make sure posts are coming up right; so I figured why not try out that kickass vid of BJJ badass Robert Drysdale and his flying armbar and triangle choke. Nice stuff!

The growth of MMA has exploded in the last several years, however the knowledge of many of the fans has not. Ever been to an event, where you may be watching a highly technical match on the ground, and the crowd roars "stand them up!"? Ever wondered why some judges score rounds the way they do, or ever been to a seminar where a judge asks "could you explain what the 'guard' is? I have. Ignorance of how MMA works, how it is judged, what techniques are used in fights is not bliss; it's epidemic.
This site will try to shine a light into the darkness that exists in the mind of many casual fans; MMA is very technical sport, and is far more than just punching, kicking, and wrestling. Everyone involved in the sport, from fans, fighters, to referees are constantly learning, adapting new knowledge, and evolving.
Or should be.
